The rotor and stator knives can be found in our product range mainly in the area of the plastic recycling in so called mills for the comminution and the fine grinding of production waste. They ensure the clean cut of the material and can be adjusted by means of a defined cutting gap. On principle the rotor knife has a flat cutting angle while the stator knife has a steep angle. This general rule has all times lead to the best results in the recycling of plastic. Our rotor knives and our stator knives are available among others for the plastic recycling mills of the following manufacturers:
Hosokawa Alpine®
CMG®
Cumberland®
Condux®
Dragon Machinery®
Dreher®
Eldan®
Folcieri®
Herold®
Möser®
Neue Herbold®
Pallmann®
Previero®
Rapid®
STF®
Tria®
Wittmann®
Wanner®
Zerma®
and many more…
Also for this type of knives there are many variations and optimizing opportunities concerning the material or the cutting geometry. For example, by using a bevel the stability of the blade can be considerably increased, while the flattening of the angle will lead to a sharper cut. We mainly use the 12% chromium steel as material for our rotor and stator knives because in most cases it shows outstanding wear characteristics. Nevertheless it can be varied in its hardness in order to adjust the knives to the different uses and the various input materials. Our rotor and stator knives are also available in hard metal in order to reduce the wear even more in case of material with a low factor of contamination or plastic and therefore increase the endurance of the machine.
Also in this area we offer the change of knives through our service team in your mill.
