The widespread block knives like for example used by Lindner® for the machine type Komet or by Mewa® for the machine type UG are classical examples for knives which are used in the area of comminution of waste in order to produce substitute fuels. We also offer other block knives of different manufacturer as
Lindner®
Mewa®
MTB®
Weima®
Amni®
Bomatic®
Previero®
Untha®
Artech®
AMB®
SID®
for your shredder or even have them on stock.
At first glance a block knife looks like a rough tool to chop an input, but in reality it is a highly precise and dimensionally extremely accurate instrument for the comminution of materials of all kind. Block knives exist in the most variable forms and variants, always adjusted to the corresponding use. Profound knowledge about the manufacturing and the use are the base for the professional production and the construction of such block knives and enables us to give the customer professional advice.
Different materials in the production of block knives make them extremely versatile and with their characteristics they have an influence on important factors like tenacity, endurance and through-put in the machine. Very highly hardened variants of a 12% chromium-vanadium—steel considerably extends the life of the knives, but can only be used for material with a relatively low factor of contamination because otherwise there is a high risk of breakage. Low hardened block knives don’t have the highest endurance, but they are popular to prevent breakage due to foreign objects in the recycling input material.
Our engineering department will gladly perform special constructions or individual requests as well as insightful analysis or optimized for your individual requirement.
